Taming the Universe, one frame at a time

In addition to much of my portrait work in which I hope to specialize, there have been many opportunities for me to challenge myself in other fields of photography. One of those that I feel myself drawn to for the sheer challenge is Astrophotography. Capturing the universe has always been a dream of mine and my camera has allowed me to see it in a new light while still being perplexed by its sheer scale and its fleeting moments in which it allows itself to be seen by my sensor. Many lonely frigid nights have been spent waiting for clouds to roll by or the moon to set for the perfect shot. Landscapes have also caught my eye, particularly very large panoramas of vast mountain ranges and hopefully bodies of water in the future. In addition to that, I have always been drawn to the primitive allure of anything ablaze such as steel wool or fireworks.
